Crystal Palace and Wolves’ head coaches have given an updated on their squads’ injury statuses ahead of their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Sunday
Crystal Palace host Wolves on Sunday, February 22, at Selhurst Park in a clash between two sides who have just one win between them in their last five Premier League games. Wolves sit rock bottom of the table, but will be buoyed by a draw against Arsenal midweek and some positive news on the injury front.
The hosts, meanwhile, are locked in a tightly-contested mid-table battle, sitting 13th, with just eight points separating them from both the top eight and the bottom three. They also had a midweek game, drawing 1-1 with Zrinjski Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday.
Double injury boost for Wolves
Wolves manager Rob Edwards has indicated that two players who had been considered doubts should be available in Angel Gomes and Toti Gomes. This would leave Hee-Chan Hwang as his only senior absentee, a welcome boost in the midst of a gruelling schedule.
“It’s good. I think it [Angel Gomes’ back] locked up [in the last game]. I think he had a spasm. He’s trained today, so that’s good news,” Edwards said at his press conference on Friday.
“There’s a few we have to check on. We know we have a tight squad. We know we have to look after everyone between these games with them coming thick and fast as they are.

“[Toti] could potentially be involved against Palace. He trained today, so he’s had a couple of training sessions with the group, so that’s good news for us.”
Worrying news for Glasner as Palace’s injury troubles continue
The main fresh concern for Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner regards Maxence Lacroix, who was substituted off with an adductor injury in the UEFA Conference League game on Thursday. It appears certain he will miss the visit of Wolves and may be set for a spell on the sidelines beyond that, too.
“(The injury is) how it looked like yesterday, yes, but again, we will assess him further with training in the afternoon, so after the press conference, and then we will see,” said Glasner at his press conference on Friday.
“He had to be subbed because he had problems with his adductor, and he mentioned it at half-time already, so it doesn’t look really good.
“All others look fine, but nobody will come back. [Christantus] Uche, he is not registered for the Conference [League], but he will be available. And all others from yesterday.”
Glasner confirmed that Daichi Kamada, Eddie Nketiah, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Jefferson Lerma and Cheick Doucoure will all miss Sunday’s game.
