Vítor Pereira injury update as Nottingham Forest sweat on Murillo but face major blow over Hudson-Odoi
Nottingham Forest continued their push for Premier League survival with an emphatic 4-1 win over Burnley on Sunday, but it came with fresh injury concerns.
The result keeps Forest on track in their battle to stay up, while they also remain in the hunt for European silverware, having knocked out FC Porto last week to reach the Europa League semi-finals.
However, attention quickly turned to the fitness of key players after the match, with several worrying moments during the game at the City Ground.
One of the biggest concerns came just before half-time when Murillo pulled up and signalled towards his hamstring, prompting immediate fears among supporters given his importance to the team.

The Brazilian centre-back, who has been a cornerstone of Forest’s defence this season, was replaced by Jair Cunha as a precaution.
Speaking after the match, Pereira was cautiously optimistic about the speed of the defender’s return.

“I don’t know. I spoke to him and he said he thinks it is not serious. I hope,” Pereira said.
While that update may ease some immediate fears, the situation will continue to be monitored closely ahead of a crucial run-in.
There was less encouraging news regarding Callum Hudson-Odoi, who now faces a race against time to feature again this season.
The winger suffered the injury during Forest’s 1-0 Europa League win over FC Porto and was absent from the squad against Burnley, later seen on crutches.
“It is a serious injury. It was very bad news for us,” Pereira said. “He had a scan and now it is trying to understand if it is possible for him to recover before the end of the season.”
Forest had already been managing a few knocks within the squad, with Chris Wood having taken a blow to the knee in the Porto match, although he was still able to feature against Burnley.
With survival and European ambitions both still alive, Forest will now be hoping Murillo’s issue proves minor, especially as they prepare for a defining stretch of fixtures in the weeks ahead.
