Crysencio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo and Konstantinos Mavropanos face late fitness tests for West Ham United
West Ham United prepare to host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night in a crucial clash in their battle for Premier League survival.
The Hammers head into the fixture knowing that every point could prove decisive as the season enters its final stretch, with the London Stadium set to host a high-pressure encounter.
Despite the importance of the match, there remains uncertainty surrounding several key players. Head coach Nuno Espírito Santo has been dealing with multiple fitness concerns in recent weeks, and Friday’s game could come too soon for some.
However, there are signs of encouragement behind the scenes.
Summerville, Todibo and Mavropanos latest
The biggest concern surrounds Crysencio Summerville, who has missed the last three matches with a calf injury suffered against Brentford earlier this month. Jean-Clair Todibo is also racing to be fit after picking up a problem during the warm-up ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.
“I think he’s reacted well in recent weeks. When he got the red card [against Chelsea], he was in a good moment, and the team was in a good moment. Unfortunately, we missed him for three games, but he came back.

“Then he suffered a setback in the warm-up against Aston Villa, but he’s been recovering well. He’s always positive, he’s a very positive boy, and we’re looking forward to having him back with us.”
Nuno then provided a broader update on his squad, suggesting that several players could still feature depending on late assessments.
“He’s [Summerville] improving. Cry, JC [Jean-Clair Todibo] and Callum Wilson are all improving, so we’ll see. We still have tomorrow to assess, and we’re positive that they can be available.
“Dinos is clear of the concussion protocol, which is good. Aaron [Wan-Bissaka] is back with us, and he’s working well.
“A few of our players are recovering after Sunday, because it was a tough game, that went to extra-time, but it mainly was just fatigue, so we’re positive.”
The return of Konstantinos Mavropanos in particular would be a major boost, given his importance to West Ham’s defence in recent months.
With survival on the line, West Ham will hope their improving injury situation translates into a much-needed result against Wolves.
