Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior had previously dimissed Cole Palmer to Manchester United rumours as “unrealistic” but rapper Tunde vows to engineer Old Trafford switch
A friend of Cole Palmer has publicly declared his intention to orchestrate the Chelsea midfielder’s move to Manchester United, posting on social media that the boyhood Red Devils supporter “belongs” at Old Trafford.
Manchester-based rapper Tunde shared photographs with Palmer during their Dubai holiday this week, adding a caption that immediately sparked fresh transfer speculation.
“Bro from early. 1 day I will get CP to UTD back home where he belongs. Go ask him who his favourite team is,” Tunde wrote on Instagram.
The social media post comes amid ongoing speculation about Palmer’s happiness in London, with Monday reports suggesting the 23-year-old forward would be receptive to approaches from United despite their current struggles.
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior had moved swiftly to dismiss such talk, describing the transfer links as “unrealistic” and insisting Palmer remains “untouchable” at Stamford Bridge.
“Yes and yes,” Rosenior said when asked whether Palmer was both “untouchable” and “happy” at Chelsea ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League fixture at Napoli.

“It’s simple: Cole’s an incredible player like Moises Caicedo sitting next to me and many players in the group. I’m not surprised at the timing. A new coach comes in and all of a sudden there’s people looking to unsettle. It’s not true. Cole’s here, he’s very happy and I can’t wait to see him on the pitch.”
Wythenshawe roots fuel United connection
Palmer’s connection to United runs deep through his upbringing in Wythenshawe, south Manchester, where he supported the Red Devils before Manchester City recruited him to their academy aged eight.
His £40 million transfer to Chelsea in 2023 represented a fresh start away from Manchester entirely, though reports have suggested he’s struggled with homesickness during his two and a half years in the capital.
Those whispers gained traction earlier this season when Palmer experienced form and fitness difficulties, prompting speculation about whether his heart remained in the northwest.
Rosenior dismisses Palmer to United talk
Rosenior emphasised he hadn’t sought reassurances from Chelsea’s directors about Palmer’s future, viewing the speculation as too disconnected from reality to warrant serious concern.
“There’s no reason for an assurance. It’s so unrealistic. It’s come from nowhere, there’s nothing in it,” he said. “There’s no reason to have the conversation, that’s where I’m at.”
“Cole is very happy. We’ve had numerous conversations with him on how we can make this team better, how he can improve and how I can help him – because he loves being here and he wants to be a Chelsea player. You can’t stop speculation, but some speculation is so far from the truth, there’s not point having any discussion about it.”
