Nottingham Forest could receive a major injury boost as Vítor Pereira has revealed that three key players could be available ahead their last away Premier League clash of the season.

Having already clinched Champions League football ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, Manchester United are set to host Forest on Sunday.

Meanwhile, West Ham United’s 1-0 loss in the derby against Arsenal saw Forest achieve their main objective by mathematically securing safety in a turbulent campaign.

According to Pereira, the visitors have seen Morgan Gibbs-White and Dan Ndoye return to training, while Ibrahim Sangaré may have a slight chance to make the matchday squad for Sunday’s duel.

“[Gibbs-White] started today to work with the team with the mask,” Pereira said.

“Let’s see. It’s strange when he uses it but I spoke with him and he said he’s OK with the mask, no problem. We’ll see if he’s in condition for the next match.

“Dan Ndoye has started, Sangaré I think tomorrow [Friday]. That’s all. I think Dan Ndoye, Morgan and Sangaré will be training tomorrow.

“They are all improving but I think it’s not the time to take risks. We’ll see, it’s with the medical department now.”

Meanwhile, the Portuguese coach has revealed that starting defenders Murillo and Ola Aina will remain sidelined, missing out on the trip to Manchester.

Gibbs-White shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Season award

Having recorded 13 goals and four assists so far this season, the Forest midfielder has been one of the eight players to be officially nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award for the 2025/26 campaign.

Pereira was full of praise for his midfielder, stressing that Gibbs-White is willing to prove that he deserves a call-up by Thomas Tuchel ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

“As I said before, the top player deserves everything that life gives to him or football gives to him because the fighter has a lot of talent, is a leader, and he deserves, in my opinion, everything,” the Portuguese coach said.

“I think he wants to prove himself every time, wants to get every chance to prove himself and to prove that he has the quality and the talent to be [at the World Cup with England].”
